A family business built on one belief: kids deserve a safer place to play
We started Recycled Rubber Products over 20 years ago in Joliet, Illinois because we saw a problem: playgrounds were covered in wood mulch that rotted, splintered, and needed constant replacement — and it wasn't even that safe. We believed recycled rubber mulch could do better. Turns out, we were right.
Today, KinderMulch is installed at schools, parks, churches, municipalities, and backyards across the country. We've shipped to all 48 contiguous states. We still answer the phone ourselves. If you call us with a question, you'll get a real answer from someone who knows rubber mulch inside and out.

IPEMA provides independent certification that our rubber mulch meets or exceeds ASTM F1292 and F1951 standards for playground safety. TÜV SÜD America serves as third-party validator. This certification is often required by schools, municipalities, and insurance companies — and is frequently needed for grant and permit applications.
